Benny the Greek's NFL Playoff picks- Round 1

Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos- TebowMania will officially be over after this game, if he even survives it. I'm going with the Steel Curtain on this one. It could be close because Mendenhall isn't playing, but look for Tebow and the Broncos to come back down to Earth. This is gonna be a reality check. Steelers 17 Broncos 6.

Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans- This is an interesting one given that neither team has ANY experience in the playoffs. I gotta give the nod to the Texans because of their running game. Cedric Benson will be ineffective, and look for the Houston crowd to be going nuts. They haven't seen a playoff game since Warren Moon's days with the Oilers. Texans 24 Bengals 20.

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants- Gotta go with the Giants here. They're at home, and Eli Manning seems to be on a mission this season. The Falcons have been inconsistent, and Michael Turner will be a non-factor. The Giants just seem to win big games, a la the Cowboys last week. The home crowd will make sure the Giants don't lose. Giants 31 Falcons 17.

Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints- This is gonna be the most exciting game of the 1st Round. If there's gonna be an upset it will be this game. I'm picking the Saints, but it's gonna be close. The home crowd, the experience, and the record setting Drew Brees will be the difference, but look for a lotta points to be scored. Saints 41 Lions 38.

Well there you have it. If I don't completely screw the pooch on these picks, I'll have Round 2 ready sometime next week. Enjoy the games!
