And the winner was: The Departed. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, and Jack Nicholson, and directed by Martin Scorsese. This film also won for Best Director (Martin Scorsese), Best Screenplay Adaptation, and Best Film Editing.
